ZAMIL STEEL Vietnam has come up with yet another application of its pre-engineered buildings
- a Mobile Shed that comes with numerous functional advantages.
There is currently a growing demand for Mobile Sheds in the shipyard industry. The idea of a Mobile Shed as a covered shelter for fabrication, refit and repair has benefited industry players in maximizing the yard’s efficiency within the limited ground space, available.
The distinct feature of Zamil Steel’s Mobile Shed is, as is obvious, its mobility that is supported by heavy-duty wheels system. The parts that make the whole system, including carriage beam, columns, mobile crane, rafters, purlins and roof are manufactured in-house by Zamil Steel and assembled at site using shackles, braces, clips, high strength bolts and nuts. These firmly connect all components and prevent the structure from swaying and buckling. All columns rest on carriage beams, which in turn are fixed to the wheel block with motor moving on guide rails. A Mobile Shed can expand the working ground space for its users as it can move a distance equal to its length. The result is increased efficiency and convenience for those working in the shipyards.
A standard overall building size for this mobile shed is 30m (Width) x 40m (Length) x 15m (Clear Height). Safety, reliability and proven designs were zeroed in as key issues in the building process. The builders focussed on the issue of building stability, under strong winds from sea shores, where shipyards are usually located. The manufacturing process conforms to international standards for metal building system.
The successful implementation of this new product has made it a “breakthrough application” of pre-engineered buildings manufactured by Zamil Steel.
