COVERING a building with matt material and imperceptibly fashioning its fifth façade, Ugitop’s principal merit lies in the nature of the material: an austenitic (non-magnetic) tin and lead-free stainless steel.
It allows traditional welding and all methods of installation, in particular laying with standing seams and processing operations including bending, shearing, profiling, curving, etc. Ugitop enables the design of unified building envelopes: soffits, canopies, cladding, façades (flat fascias, ribbed profiles, cassettes, etc.) and roofing.
A wide range of components and accessories provides the finishing. It’s light weight, 3 or 4 kg/m2, facilitates laying on light roof frames, and due to its favourable coefficient of expansion, the strips laid reach 15 to 20 metres in a single length.
Specially designed for building and marketed by Ugine&Alz, Ugitop is offered in the form of coils, reels or sheets. Widths range from 250 to 1,250 mm, and thicknesses from 0.4 to 2 mm. It can be delivered film-coated to avoid marks and soiling during use.
